Hagan to Attend and Speak at Veteran's Day Parade in Gastonia

Senator Hagan Thursday will honor Veterans Day by participating in a parade in Gastonia. Immediately following the parade, she will speak at a ceremony honoring America's veterans and those currently serving our country. Tony Sherrill, chairman of the Gaston County Veterans Council and Rep. Sue Myrick will also attend the ceremony.

Since coming to the Senate, Hagan has worked to support veterans, military personnel and their families in North Carolina and across the country. Hagan, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, comes from a strong military family. Her father-in-law was a two-star Marine general and her father and brother both served in the Navy. Her husband, Chip, is a Vietnam veteran, and two of her nephews have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
