WASHINGTON, DC-United States Senator Kay R. Hagan (D-NC), Chair of the Senate Armed Services Emerging Threats Subcommittee, tonight commented on the death of Osama bin Laden.

Sen. Hagan said:

"I join all Americans in praise for the Special Forces who finally brought down this mass murderer. The long hunt for the terrorist behind the September 11 attacks, killer of nearly 3,000 Americans, is over. I hope this news can bring some peace to our 9/11 families who have waited almost 10 years for bin Laden's demise. It is a good night for America and the world."
