Hagan Statement on Passing of Representative William Wainwright

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Kay Hagan today released the following statement on the passing of Representative William Wainwright:
"I'm very saddened to learn of William Wainwright's passing. He was a dear friend and colleague and I was honored to have served with him in the state legislature where he brought such profound dedication and decency to his work. He earned enormous respect from his colleagues and his loss will be felt not only by his constituents in Eastern North Carolina but by all North Carolinians. Representative Wainwright's leadership and integrity represented the best of North Carolina. My thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences are with his family today."
