Since taking office, Senator Hagan has been to Afghanistan on three occasions, and has visited with troops from North Carolina on the ground. North Carolina troops are leading the charge against terrorism abroad to protect us here at home.
Senator Hagan supports the end of the U.S. combat mission in Iraq. She believes there is still difficult work ahead, but our progress in Iraq is a testament to the incredible work of our armed forces.
A member of the Congressional National Guard Caucus, Senator Hagan is working to provide North Carolina's citizen-soldiers with the support and training they need to serve their state and country. North Carolinians need our National Guard home in North Carolina so that they are ready to meet the state's needs.
